Before you start.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. PaintProof starts with just an email, and the first 30 days are free with every feature switched on. During early access sending isn't capped; once billing starts, the trial covers your first 10 bids. You add a card when you pick a plan, and nothing charges until you do.
Is there a limit on bids?
Not on a plan — Solo and Team both include unlimited bids. Only the free trial has one: your first 10. A bid is the first time a job leaves draft — you send the proposal or they sign on the spot. Drafts, opening Present, Instant Quote leads, re-shares, and change orders on an already-sent job do not count.
Do I pay per painter?
No. Team is one flat price for your whole crew — owners, admins, estimators, and field techs. Solo is for one person; when you add someone, you move to Team.
Is there a per-rendering or extra-bid fee?
Never. Recolor is included, and bids are unlimited on both plans.
Can homeowners really sign and pay on my phone?
Yes. They sign with a finger and can pay a deposit on the spot through our payment partner once you've connected payouts, or use the portal link to pay later. Deposits land in your account, minus card processing and PaintProof's payment fee.
What does PaintProof charge on payments?
0.5% of what you collect through PaintProof, on top of our payment partner's standard card or bank processing. On a $1,000 deposit that is $5. During early access we don't charge it yet. Checks and cash you record yourself cost nothing.
Which paint brands are supported?
Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore — more than 5,600 colors, each with its name and code, so the color they pick is the one you order.
What is Enterprise?
A plan built around a bigger operation: several locations, a franchise system, or needs Solo and Team don't cover. Tell us how you work and a founder will set up a call to scope it and agree a price.
Can I cancel or change plans?
Anytime, from Account. During the 30-day trial there's nothing to cancel — no card, no charge. After that you change plans or stop from the same place.
