Accessibility

This site should work for everyone who paints.

Painters estimate from a phone in a driveway, in the sun, sometimes one-handed. Building for that is most of the way to building for a screen reader or a keyboard. Here is where we actually stand, including the parts that are not finished.

PaintProof is operated by American Construction Technology LLC, a Georgia limited liability company.

The standard we hold this site to

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the benchmark used under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is what we test against. We also follow two rules added in WCAG 2.2: keeping focused controls out from under the sticky header, and keeping tap targets big enough to hit.

What that means in practice

Every page opens with a “Skip to content” link and has one main region. Everything you can do with a mouse you can do with a keyboard, including the before-and-after on the home page: its “Hold to see the original” button works with Space or Enter as well as a mouse or finger. Text meets the contrast thresholds, images carry alternative text, form fields have real labels, and the site never blocks pinch-zoom. If you have asked your system to reduce motion, the animations stop.

What we know is imperfect

The phone-shaped product screens on the tour pages are pictures of the app, not the app. They are hidden from screen readers and skipped by the keyboard on purpose, because tabbing through a mockup of buttons that do nothing is worse than not reaching it at all. The surrounding text describes what each one shows. If it does not describe it well enough, tell us and we will fix the writing.

The PaintProof app itself, at app.paintproof.app, and the homeowner portal are separate software with their own accessibility work in progress. This statement covers this marketing website.

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep spam out. It is normally invisible and does not ask you to identify pictures, but if it ever blocks you, email us instead and we will reply the same way.

Tell us when something does not work

We would rather hear it than not. Email accessibility@paintproof.app, or use the contact form and say what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you use to browse. We aim to reply within five business days, and we will tell you what we are going to do about it and roughly when.

How this was checked

By hand, with a keyboard and a screen reader, plus automated checks that run on every build and block a release if they fail. Automated testing catches perhaps a third of what matters, so the manual pass is the real one. Last reviewed 12 September 2026.
