PaintProof vs PaintForce
The closest comparison on this list. Both are painter-vertical, both are mobile-first, and both ship AI estimating from photos. The difference is not the technology — it is which part of the sale it is pointed at.

Where PaintForce is stronger
Platform coverage and price at the bottom end. They ship native iOS, Android, macOS and web, which matters if your crew is not all on iPhones. Their AI photo-to-estimate for exteriors shipped in 2025 and has real mileage on it. And their entry tier is genuinely cheap — as of our last check, around $19 a month for a single user with a cap on new estimates, then $89 for unlimited.
If you want the cheapest way to stop writing estimates on paper, that entry tier is hard to argue with, and we do not have an answer to it at that price.
Where PaintProof is different
AI estimating answers "how much is this job". It does not answer "why should I say yes today". Our bet is that the second question is the one that loses jobs — so the estimate is built to be shown: their room, their colours, live on the screen, with Good/Better/Best beside it and a signature line at the end of the same conversation.
We also go interior-first, measuring room by room, rather than exterior-first from a photo. And we have the customer-facing link — you send it, they quote themselves, and it comes back with the colours already chosen.
Price
PaintForce, at our last check (May 2026): $19 (1 user, capped estimates), $89 (1 user, unlimited), $169 (3 users, integrations, plus about $29 per extra user). Verify on their site.
PaintProof is $79 a month for one person, or $119 flat for your whole crew, with unlimited bids on both — and every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, no credit card to begin.
The honest summary
If you are pricing exteriors from photos and want it cheap, they are a strong choice. If what is costing you jobs is the walkthrough that ends in "we'll think about it", that is the exact moment we built for.
Try it on one estimate
Run your next bid through both if you like. The difference shows up in the customer's face, not in a feature table.
